1. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple (Ram Mandir)
The defining landmark of modern Ayodhya is a marvel of architecture and devotion. Built in the traditional Nagara style using Bansi Paharpur pink sandstone, the temple is immense—380 feet long, 250 feet wide, and 161 feet high, supported by 392 pillars.
When you step inside to have Darshan of Ram Lalla, in his childhood form, you are not just entering a temple; you are entering the fulfillment of a five-century-long dream for millions. The detailed carvings, the gold-plated doors, and the serene aura make it an unforgettable experience.

2. Hanuman Garhi: The Guardian’s Abode
No visit to Ayodhya is complete without first paying respects to Lord Hanuman at Hanuman Garhi. Perched atop a hill and accessed by 76 steps, this tenth-century temple looks like a fort. It is believed that Hanuman lives here in a cave and guards the city. The panoramic view of Ayodhya from the top, especially at sunrise, is spectacular.

3. Sarayu River and Ram Ki Paidi
The sacred Sarayu River is the lifeblood of Ayodhya. A heritage walk along its banks, known as Ram Ki Paidi, offers a unique blend of tranquility and vibrant devotion. The series of ghats are beautifully maintained. In the evenings, the water reflects the lights from adjacent temples, creating a shimmering, magical path.

4. Kanak Bhawan: The Golden Palace
Often called the "Golden Palace," Kanak Bhawan is a gift from Queen Kaikeyi to Goddess Sita. This beautiful temple, with its vibrant interiors, is dedicated to Lord Rama and Sita and is renowned for its exquisitely crowned idols, which are believed to wear gold ornaments gifted by King Vikramaditya.
